Quit Smoking
Quitting at any age increases life expectancy and improves quality of life. Remember its never to late to quit-the sooner the better.
There are generally two types of smokers. One that just chips away can take it or leave it, not sure why they do it. The other type of smoker is totally addicted, can’t imagine life without, but doesn’t want to do it any more.
By focusing on the benefits of stopping and how your life will improve enables you to look forward before the sessions begin. As part of a 3-session programme we set up the framework of being a non-smoker. We cover secondary gains (what you think you get out of it) what you think it gives you and any underlying beliefs or feelings that influence the need or desire to smoke.
Yes, nicotine is a very addictive substance, but with the right support and mindset can be easily overcome.
NLP can also assist in these sessions that will allow you to de-identify with just being a smoker and focus on all the other positive aspects of self and know that you are so much more than that. Parts Integration enables you to understand how the part of you that smokes and the part of you that wants to stop often have the same intention but each part has been trying to achieve this in different ways. Once you can integrate the parts and form a new part with positive qualities and intentions there is no longer a need for the problem.
